Project Control Eng/Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Control Eng/Officer to join our team at Cpus Engineering Staffing Solutions Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and driving the Front-End Planning processes as a Front End Planning (FEP) Project team member. This includes providing recommendations on the execution of Value Engineering and Project Definition rating index (PDRI) workshops, initiating Risk Profiling, and developing the Project Breakdown Structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain updated and accurate conceptual phase schedules.
  • Load approved project plans into applicable project control systems.
  • Perform weekly schedule updates and cost and schedule analysis.
  • Update forecasts accordingly.
  • Facilitate project metrics reporting and variance analysis.
  • Ensure approved change control processes are followed.
  • Maintain the project schedule such that it accurately reflects the current project plan.
  • Interface with all stakeholders to ensure project plans are accurately updated and maintained.
  • Set up and maintain project control budgets.
  • Monitor contractor cost and schedule performance against project plan.
  • Facilitate and support project financial close out process.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of engineering/science relevant to project planning, scheduling, risk management, and control service needs of the division. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including relevant business and computer applications knowledge, are also essential. A four-year university education in an appropriate field such as Business, Finance, or Engineering, or equivalent level of education, is required.
