Produce Clerk

Job Summary:
The Produce Clerk is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a high-quality produce department. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for ordering, receiving, and merchandising produce products, as well as providing superior customer service to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, and corporate policies.
- Order, receive, prep, and merchandise produce products in accordance with company inventory control procedures.
- Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs, including answering questions and making recommendations.
- Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products and maintaining a visually appealing produce department.
- Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping work areas clean and presentable.
- Prep customer produce orders and process department shrink as required.
- Participate in the training of junior staff and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Above-average communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs, stand for long periods of time, and complete physical work including but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching.
