Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a glazier in the commercial construction field OR successful completion of a two to three-year apprenticeship program
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of the construction sector and associated tasks is beneficial
  • Exhibit outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and oral

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of glazing operations, including safety protocols, cleanliness, and quality of workmanship
  • Compile production and various reports
  • Organize and schedule project activities
  • Provide training or coordinate training sessions
  • Set up machinery and equipment
  • Estimate costs and required materials
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Troubleshoot work-related issues and prepare and submit progress documentation
