Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pump Systems Technician with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing various types of pump systems in high-rise buildings and other commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on pump systems (booster pumps, sump pumps, fire pumps, etc.)
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues related to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic pump systems
  • Install and commission new pump systems in retrofit projects
  • Work with control systems, including variable frequency drives (VFDs), motors, and electrical components
  • Provide accurate and detailed service reports for each job completed
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing professional customer service and technical explanations
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all field activities
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure efficient project execution
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience working with pump systems or related equipment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with various types of pumps (centrifugal, submersible, DCW booster etc.) is preferred
  • Basic understanding of VFDs, motors, and control systems
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites within the Greater Toronto Area
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical diploma or certification in a related field (e.g., mechanical, electrical)
  • Experience working in high-rise or commercial building environments
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to pump systems
