About the Role

The Fleet Coordinator is a key position within Brandt, responsible for the strategic management of the company's fleet assets. This includes the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of vehicles, trailers, forklifts, and mobile equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Deployment: Source and acquire new fleet assets, ensuring optimal pricing and compliance with Brandt's specifications.
  • Fleet Maintenance and Authorization: Collaborate with branches and manufacturing plants to manage fleet maintenance, authorization, and control.
  • Asset Disposal: Ensure the proper disposal of fleet assets, adhering to Brandt's policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealerships and suppliers to secure the best prices and services for Brandt.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about fleet-related regulatory requirements and advise Operations and management on implications of changes in the regulatory environment.
  • Accident and Insurance Administration: Manage accident and insurance claims for fleet assets, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
  • Traffic Citation Administration: Handle traffic citations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Fuel Management: Oversee the distribution and control of fuel purchase cards, monitoring fuel purchases and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Invoice Verification: Verify the accuracy of all fleet-related invoices, ensuring timely payment and minimizing errors.
  • Purchase Order Preparation: Prepare purchase orders for management signatures, ensuring that fleet operations are supported with the best possible value for Brandt.
Requirements
  • Self-Motivation and Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of self-motivation.
  • Business Acumen: Possess some post-secondary education in business administration, with a strong understanding of business principles and practices.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Exhibit strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess situations, evaluate options, and select the best solution.
  • Technical Skills: Possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and experience using an ERP package.
  • Driver's License and Abstract: Hold a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
  • Attention to Detail and Multi-Tasking: Demonstrate the ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail, with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Possess good interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
