Project Manager for HVAC Equipment

Position Overview:
Trane Technologies is seeking an Equipment Project Manager based in Quebec, QC. This role entails overseeing the administration, execution, and management of HVAC equipment projects, ensuring accountability for the defined project scope, timeline, and financial plan.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts planning and analysis for assigned projects, establishing timelines and project parameters while implementing procedures to achieve system objectives, particularly for complex equipment applications.
  • Engages with clients and their representatives, including building proprietors, mechanical contractors, and field support personnel. Ensures customer satisfaction by addressing concerns, implementing corrective measures, and maintaining open communication with clients and project teams.
  • Monitors estimated shipping dates against contractor schedules, ensuring adherence to internal equipment ordering protocols.
  • Maintains accuracy in the projected cost at completion and manages expenses by tracking the assigned project budget.
  • Develops and revises project schedules, including task generation, cost estimates, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Handles equipment orders, issues purchase orders, and generates work orders for equipment initiation.
  • Manages project cash flow, including progress billing, collection support, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in engineering or a related field with at least two (2) years of experience in project management, equipment, HVAC, or a similar area; or a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred familiarity with HVAC systems and temperature control equipment.
  • Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive approach, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
