Mechanical Supervisor

As a Mechanical Supervisor at Agnico Eagle, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mine mechanical maintenance area. Reporting to the Senior Mechanical General Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians and coordinating maintenance work to meet production goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the mechanical crew to ensure work is performed correctly, safely, and on time with minimal impact on mine productivity;
- Oversee the work of Millwrights responsible for hoists, loading pockets, pumping systems, compressors, rock breakers, and other critical equipment;
- Hold regular safety and communication meetings with the crew to promote a culture of safety and open communication;
- Support and direct lead hands in crew line-ups and ensure they are trained to work in a safe, productive, and environmentally sound manner;
- Inspect work to identify training needs and supervise and manage performance in line with set KPIs, including planned and responsive maintenance and shutdowns;
- Ensure production and maintenance KPIs are attained, including availability, throughput, schedule compliance, and costs;
- Motivate and instruct all crew members when possible and review and sign off work-orders in SAP/CMMS;
- Communicate with other departments to plan and schedule maintenance work and assist in revising programs, procedures, parts, systems, and other related tasks;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Certified Millwright with 5 years of work experience, preferably in mine hoist plants;
- Supervisor and Underground Common Core Modules;
- Working knowledge of CCMs program, SAP, and other related software;
- Joint Health and Safety training;
- Previous leadership experience is considered an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
