Sales and Events Coordinator

The Sales and Events Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the success of Coast Hotels by providing exceptional customer service, administrative support, and sales expertise to maximize property revenues. This dual role reports to both the Sales Manager and Catering Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the property's promotional efforts by organizing sales campaigns and participating in tradeshows or other related promotions.
  • Assist the Sales Manager and Catering Sales Manager in identifying and soliciting new clients or target accounts.
  • Participate in site inspections, client appointments, and client events.
  • Research and qualify prospective initiatives.
  • Perform complex administrative tasks within a sales and catering function, including coordinating meetings, events, and activities, as well as managing calendars, drafting correspondence, and preparing presentations and related materials.
  • Maintain client records and execute sales automation techniques, including activating records of all customer relationship management initiatives and sales activities.
  • Handle routine duties such as ensuring accurate billing and record maintenance, organizing files, distributing mail, ordering office supplies, and maintaining inventory levels of promotional collateral.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of related work experience.
  • Hospitality diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience an asset.
  • Advanced communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong phone manner and communication skills with emphasis on selling hotel products and services.
  • Intermediate level in the use of MS Office Suite, knowledge of a hotel reservations operating system, experience with Infor SCS and Passkey are assets.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Some experience with conflict resolution.
