Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients in a nursing home/home for the aged setting. This includes assisting health care practitioners during examinations or treatments, engaging in community program development, and monitoring patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments
  • Engage in community program development
  • Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition
  • Participate in community needs assessment
  • Address and document symptoms and changes in patients' conditions
  • Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
  • Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families
  • Conduct disease screening
  • Deliver health education programs
  • Deliver immunization programs
  • Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
  • Engage in research activities related to nursing
  • Manage home care cases
  • Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
  • Provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice
  • Provide nursing care
  • Provide supportive counselling and life skills programming
  • Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
  • Perform administrative tasks
Requirements:
  • CPR Certificate
  • Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
