Apiary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Apiary Worker to join our team at Poelman Apiaries Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the bee yard and beekeeping equipment, performing general farm duties, and assisting with apiary and honey harvesting operations.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the bee yard and beekeeping equipment to ensure optimal honey production and bee health.
- Perform general farm duties, including tasks such as cleaning and maintaining equipment, and assisting with honey harvesting.
- Assist with apiary and honey harvesting operations, including harvesting honey and maintaining automated honey extractors.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The work will involve handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Physically demanding work, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to distinguish between colors and handle heavy loads.
- On-site housing options available.
- Seasonal work term, with 40-60 hours per week.
- Work language: English.
