About the Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned library professional to oversee the Reference and Information Services and Children's Services departments. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in library management, program development, and staff supervision.

About Sault Ste. Marie Public Library

Our library is located in beautiful Sault Ste. Marie, serving a population of over 75,000. We have two locations and a staff of approximately 50 people. Our library has a great relationship with the municipality and many strong ties within the community.

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional with a Master's degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program, combined with at least five years of progressive experience in library services, including a minimum of three years in a managerial role. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in program development and staff supervision, and possesses exceptional communication and organizational skills.
