Landscape Labourer Job Description

Dicam Landscaping Inc is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, raking and collecting refuse, and performing other outdoor maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, and applying fertilizers.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn care tasks to ensure a healthy and safe outdoor environment.
  • Rake and collect refuse, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides to prevent pests and diseases.
  • Spread sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control.
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to maintain a healthy and safe outdoor environment.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation. The candidate must be able to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.

The language of work is English.

Hours of Work

The hours of work will be 30 to 44 hours per week.
