About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Showroom Consultant to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers in selecting the right products for their needs, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with designers, builders, and architects to drive sales growth.
  • Provide accurate and timely quotes, as well as reliable delivery dates to meet customer expectations.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales and gross profit targets, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Enter orders and quotes into the system, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and literature to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Drive showroom sales through effective promotions and display materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations at customer locations and within the Profit Centre.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; college or university degree an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or sales, with a preference for plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showroom sales experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display at the Showroom, with the ability to suggest appropriate products to suit customer needs.
  • Knowledge of kitchen and bath design trends.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates.
  • Able to identify customer needs, provide solutions, and close the sale.
  • Possess excellent project management skills.
  • Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders.
  • Intermediate math skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of products sold in the plumbing, kitchen, or bathroom showrooms.
  • Experience using Trend and Eclipse.
