About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Learning Tree Academy. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development and Planning: Assess the children's development and create personalized learning plans to cater to their unique needs.
  • Assisting Educators: Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Childcare and Housekeeping: Assist with housekeeping and cooking duties, as well as bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and submitting written observations on children.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Work Setting: Day care centre or nursery school.
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, flexibility, interpersonal awareness, judgement, and reliability.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
