Position Overview

The Sales Consultant is responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with clients, acting as the primary liaison for The Sherwin-Williams Company. This role focuses on expanding a sales territory dedicated to the Residential Repaint market segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sales Development: Formulate a comprehensive strategy to enhance sales and profitability for both new and existing clientele.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with customers by understanding their unique business needs and providing tailored support.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct engaging product demonstrations to showcase solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Collaboration with Retailers: Develop effective partnerships with retail locations to achieve mutual business objectives.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and generate new sales leads.
  • Pricing Strategy: Assist in determining pricing structures for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports as needed.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling sales presentations to a diverse range of potential clients.
  • Marketing Coordination: Align sales efforts with ongoing marketing initiatives.
  • Company Program Promotion: Understand and advocate for company programs and initiatives.
  • Contract Preparation: Prepare and submit sales contracts for customer orders.
  • Client Visits: Meet with clients and prospects to assess their needs and promote relevant products and services.
  • Record Maintenance: Keep accurate records of client interactions and transactions.
  • Customer Inquiries: Address client inquiries regarding product details, pricing, and availability.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Must have a minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service.
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of experience as an Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager for Sherwin-Williams.
  • Experience conducting outside sales calls.
  • Associate degree in business, sales, or marketing.
  • Prior experience selling paint and related products.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future career opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language.
