Job Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Patent Agent Trainee to join our dynamic Intellectual Property Group in Ottawa. The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology, or a related discipline, and two years of patent agent training. They will prepare patentability opinions, draft and prosecute patent applications within the bio/chemical group.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, a basic understanding of biological and physical principles, and the ability to apply that knowledge to a variety of scientific subject matter areas. They will be prepared to work in a fast-paced, team environment and have a hybrid work structure.
