French Credit Control Specialist

Position Overview:
In this position, you will be instrumental in ensuring that Mitel is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of a dynamic global market while pursuing ambitious growth objectives. The credit team is evolving to meet the needs of the business, and you will be a key player in this transformation, overseeing daily operations and supporting the Group Credit function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage risk and credit operations for the designated French region, providing ongoing support and guidance to the Credit Manager and supervisory team.
- Foster strong relationships within the French region and collaborate closely with the Accounts Receivable team.
- Oversee governance and engagement within the territory.
- Ensure compliance with credit regulations, with assistance from colleagues.
- Prepare and analyze credit dashboards and reports, critically evaluating results.
- Understand existing processes, implement necessary changes, and promote best practices.
- Assist in the integration of new business acquisitions.
The role demands adaptability in response to changing business strategies and growth ambitions, involving participation in various projects that impact the credit function. You will be expected to drive change, identify opportunities for optimization, and deliver effective solutions, making this position far from routine.
Additional Duties:
- Advocate for and enforce the Mitel Credit Policy to minimize risk.
- Collaborate with the Credit Manager and Global Finance Managers on all credit-related matters.
- Act as the SAP specialist for credit control, reviewing change requests and providing feedback.
- Proactively identify opportunities for performance enhancement and implement best practices.
- Engage with operational teams to review results and drive performance improvements.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of credit control experience, ideally within a telecommunications or cloud environment.
- Familiarity with the cultural nuances of the French region.
- Experience managing credit in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Skills in dispute resolution.
- A proactive mindset towards system and process improvement.
- Ability to lead and adapt teams in response to change.
- Strong numerical and PC skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to support and motivate team members.
- Effective communication skills for building collaborative relationships.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
- Results-oriented approach.
- Flexibility to meet business demands and deadlines.
- Proficiency in the French language.
- Familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
- Understanding of French banking practices, including direct debits and contra accounting.
- Knowledge of letters of credit, bank guarantees, and foreign trade is a plus.
