Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Profit Centre Supervisor to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a key member of our sales and operations team, you will be responsible for driving sales, operations, and profitability at our South Surrey location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, operations, and profitability in conjunction with the Profit Centre Manager.
  • Recruit, develop, train, coach, evaluate, and manage the Profit Centre Team to achieve sales, gross profit, and profit-sharing goals.
  • Analyze data and implement strategies to increase sales, improve operating efficiencies, manage assets, and increase ROI and profit-sharing.
  • Assist with servicing customers, inventory control, shipping and receiving, warehousing, and sales as part of the Profit Centre Team.
  • Build relationships in the community to understand the marketplace, increase market share, and identify new markets.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation and management of strategic vendor programs to profitably grow the business.
  • Ensure all safety regulations are followed and maintained at the Profit Centre, customer offices, and jobsites.
  • Safeguard and maintain all Profit Centre assets, including buildings, trucks, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
  • Ensure all SPIs are followed and implemented at the Profit Centre.

Requirements

  • College and/or University degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of wholesale distribution experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, sound business judgment, and the capacity for continued growth and development into a Profit Centre Manager role.
  • Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Ability to learn how to operate material handling equipment.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry.
