Maintenance Manager

Forthright Properties is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of all site-level elements of the assets under management within our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance and Repair: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all site-level elements, ensuring that facilities are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
- Contract Management: Arrange, supervise, and hold accountable contractors undertaking maintenance on site.
- Standards and Compliance: Implement and maintain the Forthright Standard for grounds and site maintenance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Budgeting and Procurement: Manage the maintenance budget, procure materials, supplies, and labor, and coordinate the awarding and administration of maintenance contracts.
- Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating with vendors and contractors, managing maintenance schedules and budgets.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety requirements, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and contractors.
- Education: Minimum grade 12 education, with a tradesperson certificate in a construction-related discipline (Carpentry is an asset).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years related experience, including general supervisory duties, with a proven track record of ensuring compliance with Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft, ability to learn software, and certification to operate heavy machinery, including aerial lifts and skid steer loaders.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials, and to stand and walk for extended periods.
