We are seeking a seasoned arts professional to lead the Burlington Performing Arts Centre as our next Executive Director. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of the arts in Burlington.
About the RoleThe Executive Director will be responsible for leading the Centre's operations, programming, and strategic direction. This includes managing a team of staff and volunteers, developing and implementing artistic and cultural programs, and fostering partnerships with local arts organizations and community groups.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Centre's operations, including financial management, human resources, and marketing
- Develop and implement artistic and cultural programs, including performances, exhibitions, and community events
- Foster partnerships with local arts organizations and community groups
- Manage a team of staff and volunteers, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the Centre's mission and goals
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in arts management, leadership, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in arts management, leadership, or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful artistic and cultural programs
- Excellent leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
