Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Day Care Society of Edson. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assess children's development and create personalized learning plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
  • Guide children in developing essential life skills, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Monitor children's progress and report to parents, guardians, or supervisors as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community service providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to child care.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, adhering to licensing regulations and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a child care setting.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
