Western Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse IC to join our team at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse IC to provide high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department. The successful candidate will have current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador and completion of the Combined Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department Education Program offered through Western Health, or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in education and training programs to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Completion of the Combined Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department Education Program offered through Western Health, or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a challenge exam for those applicants who have completed an education program outside Western Health.
- A willingness to complete and maintain active certification in ACLS, TNCC, and PALS within two years of appointment.
