Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing patients, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, collect relevant data, and develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care planning and delivery.
- Patient Education: Teach patients and families about illness prevention, health restoration, and health maintenance to support their health care goals.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient assessments, care plans, and outcomes in accordance with practice standards and Fraser Health procedures.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement activities, including identifying patient care issues, collecting data, and making recommendations for corrective action and changes to practices, procedures, or protocols.
- Education and Experience: Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Completion of applicable post-graduate coursework in emergency nursing or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in emergency nursing.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to complete initial and ongoing patient assessments, provide nursing care through appropriate technical, therapeutic, and safety interventions, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
