Meadow Berry Farms is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our heavy equipment and trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use your technical expertise to detect faults and malfunctions in our equipment and trucks.
- Diagnose and Repair: Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Adjust and Repair: Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts to ensure optimal performance.
- Test and Verify: Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
- Clean and Maintain: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to ensure the longevity of our equipment.
- Perform Repair Work: Perform repair work on heavy trucks and other equipment.
- Service Attachments: Service attachments and working tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Verify Emission Control Systems: Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Physically Demanding: This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: You must have a keen eye for detail and be able to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Reliability: You must be reliable and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Work Term: This is a permanent position with a regular schedule of 30-40 hours per week.
- Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
