Forklift Operator and Material Handler

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team at JobCart Inc. as a Material Movement Expert.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Crown Reach forklift to transport materials within the warehouse or production area, ensuring efficient and safe movement of goods.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, skids, or vehicles using the Crown Reach forklift, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the Crown Reach forklift, including monitoring fluid levels and refueling the gas, diesel, or electric power unit, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the Crown Reach forklift before each use to guarantee its good working order and identify any potential issues.
  • Comply with all safety regulations, including wearing protective clothing and utilizing safety equipment as required, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other personnel to report or resolve any problems affecting warehouse or production operations, ensuring seamless workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, including the location of materials and any issues that arise during the shift, to facilitate efficient decision-making.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed, such as packing, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment, to support the overall success of the team.

Requirements:

  • Valid certification as a Crown Reach Forklift Operator, demonstrating expertise in operating heavy machinery.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience operating a Crown Reach Forklift, showcasing a strong track record of safe and efficient operation.
  • Proficiency in using hand-held scanners and warehouse management systems, ensuring seamless integration with our technology infrastructure.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads up to 50 pounds, demonstrating physical stamina and endurance.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations for operating a Crown Reach Forklift, prioritizing the well-being of ourselves and others.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and supervisors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks, adapting to changing circumstances and deadlines.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed, to support the demands of our business.

*Note: The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of shunting experience, demonstrating a strong understanding of material movement and logistics.*
