Job Title: Manager Business Development, Drafting and Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager Business Development, Drafting and Engineering to join our team at Waiward Industrial LP. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing strategic relationships, and leading our engineering and drafting services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products, and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners to drive business growth.
  • Lead the development of strategic plans to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Provide market intelligence and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and business development efforts.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in business or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of the industrial construction industry and current market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Working Conditions:

The incumbent will work in an office environment 50% of the time and a field environment 50% of the time. Travel to meet customers and interact at events will be required. The job may require the incumbent to walk stairs, be outside in inclement weather, carry objects, and drive.

Physical Requirements:

The incumbent will require close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal for extended periods, and interacting with clients daily. The incumbent will also require the ability to sit for extended periods.
