Wash Bay Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Wash Bay Technician to join our team at Waste Connections of Canada Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and organized wash bay environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Operate forklifts, trucks, and washers safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including washing and organizing tires, and ensuring all containers are washed and left in a state representative of our service levels.
  • Collaborate with operations management staff, operators, mechanical staff, welders, and others to prioritize work and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Report any containers needing repair and ensure the building is secure and locked at shift end.
Requirements:
  • Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
  • Knowledge of forklift, truck, and washer operations.
  • Ability to multi-task, learn new tasks quickly, and work in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and physical fitness.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests.
