Bakery Supervisor Job Description

At Simply Biscotti, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain a well-stocked bakery.
  • Train and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to produce high-quality products.
  • Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Hire and dismiss staff as needed, ensuring that our team is well-trained and motivated.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to prevent waste and ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies.
  • Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods to ensure that our products are presented in an attractive and appealing way.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Reliability, accuracy, and client focus.
Work Environment:

Our bakery is a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. You will be required to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.

We require a criminal record check for all employees.

Personal Suitability:

We are looking for a team player who is accurate, reliable, and client-focused.Experience:

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
