Job Title: Law Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our team at RSM LAW PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION.

Job Summary:

The Law Clerk will provide administrative support to our lawyers and staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our law office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in the legal field and develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our lawyers and staff, including preparing documents, managing files, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other related parties to gather information and provide updates on their cases.
  • Document Preparation: Prepare and assemble documentary evidence in preparation for trial, including drafting contracts, wills, and other legal documents.
  • Court Support: Assist with court proceedings, including arranging pre-trial conferences and hearings, and representing clients before administrative tribunals and boards.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as required, including maintaining filing systems, administering oaths, and taking affidavits and depositions.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
