Position Title: Operations Supervisor - Station
Job Summary

This role serves as a key managerial position focused on fostering a culture of safety while overseeing daily operations and a designated team within a logistics station or hub. The Operations Supervisor is tasked with ensuring safe and effective package sorting through the leadership of Package Handlers. Additionally, this position may involve managing administrative personnel and ensuring that all administrative functions adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.

Essential Functions


• Management duties encompass: recruitment, termination processes, coaching, skills enhancement, employee recognition, performance assessment, disciplinary actions, and addressing staff productivity concerns.
• Strategically plans, organizes, staffs, directs, and controls the daily operations of the hub.
• Responsible for employee management and assignment to guarantee efficient package sortation, aiming to reduce operational costs while enhancing quality, including collaboration with the linehaul department for trailer movement and administration.
• Evaluates operational performance through direct observation, report analysis, and teamwork.
• Identifies improvement opportunities for key performance metrics and implements action plans to achieve desired outcomes. Educates hub personnel, including management staff, ensuring adherence to all company policies and applicable regulations.
• Conducts daily meetings with employees and/or planning sessions to facilitate communication and clarity regarding operational updates and objectives.
• Engages in the development and administration of employee relations strategies, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive materials.
• Investigates and resolves customer service issues as necessary.
• Responsible for onboarding new employees, outlining job responsibilities and performance expectations, while ensuring compliance with company policies and training requirements, including quality assurance, hazardous materials handling, and safety protocols.

Minimum Education


• High school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum Experience


• At least 6 months of experience as a Package Handler in a logistics environment OR

• 6 months of experience in a fast-paced setting such as retail, hospitality, fulfillment center, warehouse, or stock functions OR

• Military experience with honorable discharge OR

• Supervisory experience OR

• Completion of a certification program or an Associate's degree in a related field, or 2+ years of college coursework towards a degree (in lieu of experience).

• Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree.
