Job Title: Social Assistance Technician - Women Shelter

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Assistance Technician to join our team at the Women Shelter. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to women in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct socially oriented activities in accordance with established techniques and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, community partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide education and training on social work techniques and related topics.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in social work.
Requirements:
  • Diploma of college studies with specialization in Social Work Techniques or Social Assistance Techniques.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, preferably in a women's shelter setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
