Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing and Stores Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Maintenance operations, you will be responsible for managing parts inventory and work order parts assembly.

Key Responsibilities

Material Stores:

  • Coordinate the supply and delivery of materials to meet work order specifications
  • Build material kits based on Work Order requirements
  • Pick orders for Trades to assemble work orders
  • Maintain material and power tool sign in/out logbook
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of Central Stores area
  • Perform administrative tasks such as Work Order entry
  • Utilize company vehicle to source local parts and pick up specific parts

Inventory Control:

  • Monitor stores inventory levels
  • Maintain inventory records in SAP
  • Update Bill of Material in SAP
  • Prepare Purchase Requisitions for replenishment
  • Conduct cycle counts and record maintenance
  • Report to management on stock levels and accuracy
  • Receive goods from Central Receiving, unpack shipments, and put away
  • Verify the correctness of stock quantities received

Purchasing:

  • Purchase non-production Maintenance and Engineering items
  • Purchase Capex equipment and services
  • Create Purchase Requisitions for out of stock or specialty items

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with post-secondary education and previous Central Stores experience. A clean driver's abstract, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and general knowledge of industrial equipment and parts are also required. SAP experience, Microsoft Excel skills, and good organizational skills are assets. Ability to work well under pressure, union environment exposure, and strong interpersonal/communication skills are also essential.
