Mechanical Inspector

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our team at Curtiss-Wright's Indal Technologies. As a Mechanical Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of machined and fabricated parts, weldments, electro-mechanical hydraulic assemblies, and related hardware to ensure they meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and process plans to ensure accurate inspection and testing.
- Utilize metrology instruments and CMM equipment to measure and inspect parts, and maintain accurate records of inspection results.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Quality Assurance and Engineering, to resolve inspection-related issues and improve quality processes.
- Develop and implement effective quality control procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in quality control or assurance.
- Previous experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, as well as calibration methods and standards.
- Excellent mathematical and blueprint reading skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and experience with ERP systems and quality management software.
Education:
- Graduate from an appropriate post-secondary program in Quality or a related field.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering is an asset.
