About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Administration to join our team at McMaster University's School of Nursing. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the School's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the School's administrative functions, including financial management, human resources, and education administration.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the School's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the management of the School's budget and financial resources.
  • Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff on administrative matters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, healthcare organizations, and academic institutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in administration and leadership.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as business administration or education.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a senior administrative role, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of university policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
