Heavy Duty Mechanic Job Description

At Calfrac, we're seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Maintenance Department. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you'll be responsible for daily repairs and preventative maintenance of our well servicing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair equipment in a timely and effective manner
  • Perform daily repairs and preventative maintenance on well servicing equipment
  • Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Department to ensure equipment is running efficiently

Schedule:
  • Local: Eight (8) days on, six (6) days off
  • Shop and Field positions
Education and Experience:
  • Journeyman Heavy Duty, Millwright or Automotive Certification required
  • 4-5 years of related experience
  • Successful completion of the Interprovincial Journeyman Red Seal program is preferred
  • Certified to complete CVIP / DOT inspections would be considered an asset
  • Unrestricted Class 5 driver's license with satisfactory driver's abstract
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
