Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Instructor to join our team at Seneca. As a Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for providing instruction to students enrolled in our leading edge Multi Crew Air Taxi Turboprop (MCATT) Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Flight Instruction: Provide primary flight instruction to Bachelor of Aviation Technology students in accordance with the Training Manual (TM), Operations Manual (OM), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ground Instruction: Deliver preparatory ground instruction, pre- and post-flight briefings to students in accordance with the TM and Transport Canada guidance material.
  • Administrative Tasks: Accurately maintain flight records, logs and forms for each training event. Assist with the development of training materials and assigned projects under the direction of the Phase Leads and CFI.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Ratings: Category 1 Aviation Medical, Airline Transport Pilot License (Aeroplane), Minimum valid Class 4 Flight Instructor Rating Preferred, Valid Group 1 Instrument Rating, Minimum completion of High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience teaching in an Integrated CPL or ATPL program is an asset, 5 years of Commercial Flying Experience (PIC experience preferred), Previous instructing experience, A completed post-secondary diploma or degree in Aviation is preferred, Beechcraft King Air experience is preferred but not required.

  • Communication and Presentation: Proficiency in delivering high-quality simulator and ground instruction in alignment with TM, OM, SOPs, and Transport Canada guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Exceptional presentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Dedication to teamwork, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

What We Offer: Starting salary within the range of $85.46/hr - $111.09/hr. An education and experience evaluation will be completed to accurately assign compensation rate. Potential for higher than quoted is possible. Other benefits could include health coverage and retirement benefits amongst other potential allowances and benefits Seneca Polytechnic offers.
