Maintenance Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at WestRock. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, clerical, and administrative planning services to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track maintenance budget, identify variances, and provide explanations to justify budget deviations
  • Coordinate the work of maintenance contractors with the production schedule
  • Identify parts required for necessary maintenance efforts and plan/budget for the acquisition of required parts
  • Order all raw material inventory, machinery spare parts, site supplies, and janitorial supplies
  • Complete purchase requisitions and check invoices to match purchase orders
  • Develop hands-on knowledge and expertise of production equipment, parts, functions, and processes through observation and engagement with employees on the production floor
  • Partner with maintenance contractors to determine feasibility and safety controls for work to be performed
  • Communicate with production teams and maintenance contractors to resolve chronic and repeat failures with equipment, provide status updates on maintenance efforts, and gather feedback
  • Participate in production meetings with maintenance to review upcoming work requests, weekly scheduling, and outage planning
  • Ensure the site is compliant with all environmental company and provincial policies and regulations
  • Complete all environmental audits and administration
  • Ensure all inventory stocks are well maintained by conducting frequent inventory checks

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or Associates/Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry in both maintenance coordination, purchasing, and inventory management
  • Knowledge of Flexographic printing is an asset
  • Proven track record of analytical skills that drive decision-making
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including JDE, Excel, and Microsoft
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and take action in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
