Payroll Clerk

**Job Summary:**

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Clerk to join our team on a temporary basis. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for providing support with payroll tasks, including validating time sheets, entering new employees, processing payroll for 40 individuals, recording payroll journal entries, and assisting the primary payroll person.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Validate time sheets to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Enter new employees into the payroll system
• Process payroll for 40 individuals, including calculating salaries, benefits, and taxes
• Record payroll journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Assist the primary payroll person with payroll-related tasks

**Additional Responsibilities:**

• Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings and screening candidates
• Provide training to new employees on payroll procedures and policies

**Requirements:**

• Previous payroll experience, preferably in a similar role
• Interest in human resources and payroll management
• Proficiency in Excel and other payroll software
