Join Our Team as a Lead Security Engineer

At Edjuster, we are expanding our Engineering team and are in search of a Lead Security Engineer to spearhead the design and execution of our Authentication and Authorization frameworks. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that all elements of our ecosystem adhere to, or surpass, the highest industry security standards.

This position is a senior-level individual contributor role, reporting directly to the Director of Software Development.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Leading the design and execution of our advanced Identity service.
  • Identifying and rectifying security-related code issues across both desktop and web applications.
  • Enhancing the overall security architecture of existing applications by applying industry standards and best practices.
  • Training and mentoring fellow developers on secure coding methodologies.
  • Assisting in the formulation of security test plans to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Conducting research to stay updated on emerging security threats and industry standards.

On average, you will dedicate approximately 60% of your time to hands-on activities such as evaluating solutions, creating proof-of-concepts, or refining existing code. The remaining time will be spent collaborating with development and QA teams to support their initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a security developer, with at least 2 years focused on cloud-based SaaS products.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, security, and mitigation strategies for common vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with .NET applications and services, particularly with IdentityServer.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure environments.
