Retail Checkout Associate

Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Group Sales Manager – Front End-Receiving, the Cashier will warmly welcome and assist customers throughout the checkout experience, ensuring accurate processing of customer payments while effectively communicating additional services and offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome and interact with customers in a courteous and enthusiastic manner Deliver an exceptional shopping experience for every customer while promoting Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's initiatives Utilize Point-Of-Sale and Inventory (SAP) systems to efficiently and accurately finalize customer transactions in accordance with established policies, including verification of identification and age Handle customer payments via debit, credit, gift cards, and cash Address and resolve customer concerns by applying sound judgment and reasoning within the scope of the role Collaborate with asset protection to adhere to all protocols, including inspecting products, checking for price discrepancies, and managing security devices Rectify customer dissatisfaction by resolving issues or alerting a Manager on Duty Perform opening and closing tasks as required: dispose of trash, replenish bags and supplies, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and organize drawer items Support other store operations as needed based on business demandsRequired Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of experience in a retail or service setting is preferred High school diploma or equivalent is preferred Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service and surpass customer expectations Strong decision-making and logical reasoning skills Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle is advantageous Familiarity with Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's product offerings is a plusBass Pro Shops & Cabela's is committed to inclusivity and welcomes applications from individuals with disabilities.
