Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Hitech Bay Inc is seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to users experiencing difficulties with computer hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, or in-person
  • Consult technical manuals and other resources to research and implement solutions to user issues
  • Provide training and guidance to users on how to use computer hardware and software
  • Collect and maintain a log of problems and solutions for use by other technical support analysts
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and other software to improve user experience
  • Supervise other technical support workers in the group
  • Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users
  • Set up equipment for employee use and perform or ensure proper installation of cables, operating systems, or software
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
  • Provide customer service and manage incidents
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Android, iOS, MAC, Linux, Unix, and networking software
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
