Job Summary

The Network Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Program Director and the CCNA management team by providing administrative and project coordination support. This includes coordinating annual progress reports, gathering information, and coordinating program policies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Reporting and Coordination

The Network Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and organizing annual progress reports to CIHR, as well as other reporting activities, ensuring respect of deadlines and high quality of materials.

Policy Development

With support from the CCNA Director, the Network Coordinator will write new policies and amend existing policies, or any other relevant documentation related to CCNA's operations.

Communication and Outreach

The Network Coordinator will coordinate CCNA's monthly newsletter, gathering information, writing, and disseminating the newsletter to CCNA affiliates, partners, and stakeholders.

Manuscript Submissions

The Network Coordinator will coordinate manuscript submissions to the Publication and Data Access Committee (PDAC).

Documentation and Record-Keeping

The Network Coordinator will coordinate documentation for new CCNA affiliate applications, including maintaining a list of affiliates with contact information.

Metrics and Evaluation

The Network Coordinator will develop metrics to measure CCNA's impact across the field of dementia research in Canada, with the support of the Program Director.

Committee Support

The Network Coordinator will lead or actively participate in most CCNA committees to ensure compliance with CCNA policies and procedures.

Network Development

The Network Coordinator will ensure network development and cohesion, creating and distributing newsletters/messages to CCNA affiliates, partners, and stakeholders, and sharing key information on organizational activities, and funding or other opportunities.

Communication and Knowledge Translation

The Network Coordinator will work closely with the communications and knowledge translation staff to ensure a good outward flow of information regarding CCNA.

International Scientific Advisory Board and Strategic Advisory Council

The Network Coordinator will maintain regular communications with CCNA's International Scientific Advisory Board, the Strategic Advisory Council, and other CCNA committees, and coordinate regular meetings.

Other Relevant Tasks

The Network Coordinator will fulfill other relevant tasks to the position as they become apparent.

Qualifications

  1. Education

The successful candidate will have a relevant undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution.

Experience

The successful candidate will have three (3) to four (4) years' experience in administrative coordination, preferably in the context of research operations and/or management.

Skills and Abilities

The successful candidate will have well-developed administrative and organizational skills, strong project management skills, and the ability to prioritize in time-constrained situations. They will also have excellent writing, redaction, and proofreading skills, and proven ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
