Job Summary

Insituform Technologies Limited, an Aegion company, is seeking an experienced Class 5 Labourer to join their team. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation and repair of sanitary and storm water lines.

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with supervisors and crew members to ensure successful rehabilitation and repair of water and sewer lines.
  • Operate various trucks, including 1-tonne pickups, flushers, CCTV trucks, boilers, and vactors, to and from job sites.
  • Set up traffic controls, safety equipment, and CIPP installation equipment.
  • Assist equipment operators in the process of shooting liners down manholes and through sewer lines.
  • Enter manholes to assist in the process of cutting out excess liner and removing it.
  • Ensure job sites are left clean before crew departure.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Comply with government and corporate safety procedures and ensure staff compliance.

Requirements

  • Experience in physical labour or outdoor construction preferred.
  • Ability to enter confined spaces and comply with safety policies.
  • Willingness to work out of town, approximately 50% travel, up to 3 weeks at a time.
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional night shifts.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • 1st Aid, Confined Space, H2S, Fall Protection Safety Tickets an asset.
  • Clean (Class 5 or higher license) with willingness to obtain Class 3 license within 90 days of starting work.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
