Continuing Education Instructor

We are seeking a qualified Continuing Studies Instructor to join our team at Okanagan College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and educational services to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver curriculum related to the teaching assignment, ensuring it is current and relevant to the needs of our students.
- Provide teaching and educational services to participants, including advice and instructional assistance as it pertains to course content.
- Monitor and evaluate participant progress in the course, ensuring they understand and comply with college policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain course materials, course outlines, lesson plans, instructional aids, assignments, exams, and attendance records.
- Maintain and submit grade assignments, exams, and grading sheets to the Program Administrator/Coordinator, utilizing the standardized grading system of Okanagan College.
- Communicate with the Program Administrator/Coordinator on any issue related to student participation or course delivery.
- An undergraduate degree and post-secondary teaching experience are preferred; however, applicants who have completed Grade 12 and possess an equivalent combination of teaching and work experience in their area of expertise may be considered.
- An Instructor's Diploma or valid BC Teacher's Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment is preferred.
- 6-10 years recent relevant experience
- Candidates must be committed to a team approach, demonstrate good written and oral English skills, and have good interpersonal skills.
- Successful completion of relevant Certificate program or higher.
- Current experience working within the field.
- 5 years relevant experience in the field.
- Experience teaching adults in a classroom setting preferred.
