The Role: Head of Canada Operations

This leadership position is responsible for the seamless operation of our Toronto-based operations and senior outreach activities across Canada. The Canadian Leader will drive business development and expansion, investor strategy, communications, government & public affairs, credit operations, and people & culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development and Expansion
    • Maximize the effectiveness of current product offerings and innovate new products.
    • Deepen existing relationships and foster revenue growth.
    • Build a network of key influencers in credit and capital markets.
  • Business and Investor Strategy
    • Drive revenue and profitability growth through strategic initiatives.
    • Implement key business strategies to deliver on multi-year objectives.
    • Evaluate and recommend transformative business decisions.
  • Communications, Government & Public Affairs
    • Formulate and execute a government and public affairs strategy.
    • Represent the company at external events and with regulatory bodies.
    • Lead internal communications and provide market intelligence.
  • Credit Operations
    • Ensure conducive conditions for credit ratings according to regulations.
    • Identify opportunities to raise efficiency in Credit Operations.
  • People & Culture
    • Attract, develop, and retain top talent.
    • Maximize employee engagement and oversee employee development initiatives.
Qualifications

We seek an experienced leader with a proven track record in the financial services industry.

  • Executive-level experience in a credit rating agency or financial services firm.
  • Experience in fixed income markets and relationships at the C-suite level.
  • Solid understanding of credit risk analysis and capital markets.
  • Strong negotiation and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
