About the Role

As the Global Head of Delivery Pay (Pricing) and Optimization, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our approach to courier compensation within our global delivery network. You'll be responsible for both short-term tactical adjustments and long-term pay strategies, collaborating closely with various teams including local operations, product development, and data science.

Your Impact

Leveraging economic frameworks to analyze markets, pricing trends, and behavior, you'll establish a comprehensive global pay strategy for our couriers. You'll drive innovation by utilizing data and technology to create more sophisticated methods for enhancing courier pay and incentives. You'll work hand-in-hand with product and technology teams to develop an effective toolkit that guides and advances courier pay, ultimately contributing to strong network performance and a positive customer and restaurant experience.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of global courier pay optimization strategies through innovative analytical tools and experimentation.
  • Take ownership of global pay analysis methods and industry trend reviews, utilizing insights to identify new opportunities and solutions.
  • Develop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data that allows for comprehensive evaluation of courier pay practices and meaningful comparisons.
  • Apply statistical modeling methods to assess the potential impact of courier pay strategies on profitability and evaluate their effectiveness upon implementation.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to establish and execute a roadmap for enhancing our courier pay technology capabilities and functionalities.
  • Partner with Regional Directors and global functions to align on vision and strategy, securing buy-in and engagement for investment initiatives.
  • Provide regular updates and share progress and impact with senior management.
  • Develop and guide a high-performing team of professionals.

What You Bring

  • A strong understanding of pricing models, including demand and price elasticity, and their influence on revenue and profitability.
  • Experience with pricing tools and software such as Tableau, Excel, R, or Python.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex pricing strategies and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven track record of using data to identify optimization opportunities and develop actionable insights.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as product development, technology, and finance.
  • A pragmatic and hands-on approach, adaptable to dynamic and ambiguous environments where priorities can shift and new business challenges arise.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop talent within a team setting.
