Job Title: Research Associate I

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Associate I to join our team at the University Health Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating collaboration and service agreements, completing scientific progress reports, managing budgets, and ensuring milestones are met within grant-funded activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating collaboration and service agreements
  • Completing scientific progress reports
  • Managing budgets
  • Ensuring milestones are met within grant-funded activities
  • Communicating with the community at large via social media

Requirements:

  • At minimum, a Master's degree in cancer genetics, molecular biology, genetic counselling or related field
  • At minimum, 2 years of related research-oriented research experience, or, a Bachelors degree with 5 years experience
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required
  • Formal training or certification in project management (PMP) is a major asset
  • Experience developing science communications and marketing materials, including for social media, is an asset
