Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II to join our innovative team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a vital role in performing specialized radiological imaging examinations on patients to aid in diagnosing diseases and pathologies.

About the Role:

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures, assisting physicians and radiologists in interpreting requisitions, and contributing to the care and upkeep of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for disease and pathology diagnosis
  • Assist physicians and radiologists in interpreting requisitions and performing diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Care for and maintain imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IV Certification
  • Medication Admin and Management courses
