Position Overview

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a dedicated Row-Crop Innovation Specialist to join our team in Eastern Canada (Quebec). This role is essential in advancing Corteva's commitment to enhancing customer experience and providing technical support for our Row-Crop product line in the region.

The Row-Crop Innovation Specialist will serve as the primary technical resource for Corteva products and broader industry solutions, playing a key role in our mission to deliver superior support to our clientele. A passion for Crop Protection innovation and the ability to foster strong relationships with customers are vital for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Agronomic Guidance: Offer comprehensive technical advice on Corteva's Row-Crop product offerings, focusing on application techniques, effectiveness, and safety measures. Customize agronomic recommendations to address regional challenges and specific crop requirements.
  • Demand Generation: Collaborate with growers and retail partners to showcase the advantages of Corteva's product portfolio, enhancing product uptake and customer loyalty. Oversee the introduction of new products in alignment with marketing strategies.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry developments and competitor products. Utilize this knowledge to strategically position Corteva's solutions in the marketplace.
  • Forecasting Support: Assist business partners in accurately predicting product demand and formulating strategic business plans. Act as a technical liaison during client discussions and presentations.
  • Educational Outreach: Deliver presentations at grower meetings, field days, and seminars to inform the agricultural community about product innovations, best practices, agronomic strategies, and sustainable farming methods.
  • Customer Relationship Development: Build and sustain robust relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor for expert guidance and support. Maintain regular communication with customers to gather insights for Corteva's product management team.
  • Business Growth: Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the expansion of Corteva's market presence in the region. Provide regular updates on market activities, customer feedback, and field outcomes to the Crop Protection Innovation Leader and other stakeholders.
  • Respectful Collaboration: Foster a culture of respectful communication and teamwork with colleagues, clients, and community stakeholders. Lead by example to create a positive work environment where all team members feel valued.

Qualifications

Education:

  • B.S. in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Essential Skills:
  • Extensive background in agronomy, crop protection, and demand generation.
  • In-depth understanding of the agricultural landscape in Eastern Canada, including its unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess market data and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the designated territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications in agronomy, environmental management, or safety.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
