Forklift Instructor

Job Summary:
North Island College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced instructor to teach the Counterbalanced Forklift course. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to students and preparing them for the Counterbalanced Forklift certification.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and prepare learning materials for instructional environments
- Teach in assigned subject areas and include all required subject matter or skill activity
- Direct student learning in a positive, supportive, and caring environment
- Be available to students regularly during scheduled office hours and classroom hours
- Clearly communicate learning outcomes for programs and courses
- Design and conduct evaluations or appraisals of students
- Maintain records of student enrollment and achievement
- IVES TRAINING GROUP Certified Trainer – Counterbalanced Forklift Certification
- Experience teaching trades professionals
- Provincial Instructor's Diploma, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 5 years industry experience as a Counterbalanced Forklift Operator
- Experience setting up training programs
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office software applications
- Proficiency with learning technologies and digital tools
